About Us

Soul Café is nestled in the heart of the Hickory Hill community in Memphis, TN. It is conveniently located at the corner of Ridgeway Road and Winchester Road adjacent to New Direction Christian Church.

Soul Cafe was an urban revitalization project created to help revive and breathe life into an area by creating jobs in a community where businesses were consistently closing. This former O'Charley's Restaurant property was reopened as Soul Cafe in December 2006.

Soul Café’s inviting atmosphere with its eclectic, modern décor features wireless internet access, live weekend entertainment and a private VIP dining room equipped with plasma TV screens and surround sound perfect for business meetings and special occasions.

Soul Cafe scaled down from a full service restaurant in July to begin transitioning into a rental facility. Soul Cafe continues operating as a Christian-based facility and smoke free environment. No alcoholic beverages, weapons or any other contraband will be permitted on the premises at any time. Anyone found in violation will be escorted from the property and local police will be contacted.

Beginning August 15, 2009, Soul Cafe began operating primarily as a rental facility.
